About Us

Danielle Larsen, DVM, Owner

Dr. Larsen has always loved animals.  She decided she wanted to become a vet following a school assignment on veterinarians in 7th grade. She entered the veterinary field as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant in high school before earning her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from UConn in 2008.

She moved to the midwest to pursue her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University and graduated in 2012.

After vet school, she returned to Connecticut to work as a small animal general practitioner.  She established Woodland Veterinary Clinic in her hometown of Beacon Falls in 2023.

Dr. Larsen enjoys the diverse casework general practice offers along with the opportunity to pursue continuing education in many different areas of veterinary medicine and surgery.

Outside of work, her hobbies include gardening, cooking, and painting. Dr. Larsen lives with her husband Chris, their two children, and pets.
